The PulseMINI™ radar is factory calibrated and ships with a certificate of accuracy.  Each PulseMINI™ radar is also paired and ships with a calibrated/certified tuning fork.  Officers should verify and record daily (log book) the accuracy of their radar by pointing the PulseMINI™ radar at a calibrated tuning fork (one calibrated to work with a 24.125 GHz radar transmission: the frequency of the transmitter in the PulseMINI™ radar).  A vibrating tuning fork creates a reflected signal that looks just like a moving object to the radar. If the radar reads the correct speed looking at the tuning fork, then the officer can trust the accuracy of the reading on the radar.  All radar should be certified on a regular basis per your agencies Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
